Pine has been a forgotten wood variety for quite some time in furniture design. This table gains a pleasing organic quality from the wood’s distinctive grain, and the overlooked wood species is given new life in the playful form.
Designed to delight
With its voluminous octangular foot, Pine can lend prominence and vigour to any room. Its weighty body is gently opposed by the tabletop’s narrow, rounded edge frame, adding a visual lightness to the solid wooden design.

Simon Legald graduated from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in the summer of 2012. His work consists of both small- and large scale products. Simon’s designs are often created in a dialogue between craftsmanship and industry. With Pine Simon has presented wood in its natural form, or with a coloured wood stain, which allows the grain to show through.
