Pine Table

Pine is a collection of small tables characterized by their solid pine construction and sculptural design. These tables bring an organic quality to any space, thanks to the distinctive grain of pinewood. Designer Simon Legald has breathed new life into this overlooked wood species, celebrating its Nordic soul and warmth. The tables feature a voluminous octagonal base that adds prominence and vigor, balanced by a visually light tabletop with a narrow, rounded edge.

Designer’s Story

Simon Legald graduated from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in the summer of 2012. His work consists of both small- and large scale products. Simon’s designs are often created in a dialogue between craftsmanship and industry. He also likes to incorporate the techniques that are necessary for the structure of a product into the design by highlighting them visually.
