Hilary Birkbeck studied Furniture Design at what is now the Birmingham Institute of Art and Design. He gained work experience at Conran Associates, Pieff Furniture, and Pel. He was one of the founding directors of BossDesign in the UK and consulted on many projects for companies in the USA, Italy, Poland, and Ukraine. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Society of Designers and is currently focused on developing conceptual solutions for changing work environments.
